Our Story
Vancouver's courier.
Since 1996.
No franchise. No outside investors. No corporate playbook. Just a locally owned business that has shown up for Vancouver's businesses — every weekday — for 30 years.
Phantom Couriers was founded on May 19, 1996 by Mark Huggan — an Emily Carr University graduate who believed that Vancouver's businesses deserved a courier service that actually cared.
That belief hasn't changed. Mark still runs dispatch personally. Clients who started with us in the nineties are still with us today. Some of Vancouver's most prominent law firms, commercial real estate companies, medical offices, and non-profits trust us with their most time-sensitive deliveries — because we've earned it, one run at a time.
In 2018 we made Vancouver's fastest-growing companies list. We've since expanded to Fraser Valley, Nanaimo, Gibsons, and Whistler — and added international shipping, luggage storage, and digital mail to meet what our clients actually need.
We are still 100% locally owned. Still no outside investors. Still personally run. And we still pick up the phone.
What We Stand For
The things that haven't changed.
Locally Owned
No outside investors. No franchise fees. Every dollar stays in Vancouver. We answer to our clients — full stop.
Owner-Operated
Mark Huggan personally oversees dispatch. When something matters, it's not going through three layers of management — it's going through him.
Built on Relationships
Our longest-running clients have been with us for over a decade. We know their names, their offices, and what they need before they ask.
In the Community
More than a business.
Phantom Couriers is a member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. Mark volunteers with Parkinson Society British Columbia and has been a BNI Visitor Host since 1996 — the same year the company started.
Vancouver is home. We take that seriously.
